Sliding Scale
Traditionally, Reiki requires an exchange of energy between the practitioner and the client. i believe it is important that both client and practitioner actively engage in reciprocity in some form. The client must be willing to receive the healing energy that i offer, as well as the way their body, mind, spirit, & emotions react to the treatment. Most people find that monetary exchange for treatment is what feels right for them. It also allows me to maintain my practice, as well as offer in-kind treatments to those who may not be able to afford them.
However, because i believe that every woman deserves holistic care in their lives, i am continually challenging myself to create access and opportunity with my practice for the communities i serve. One way to do this is through providing a sliding scale option for those who want to monetarily support me in my work, but may not be able to afford a full-priced session. In addition, i also believe strongly in being open to alternate forms of interchange. In the past, i have bartered Reiki sessions with other women who practice different healing modalities.
Sliding scale considerations, healing trades, and other non-monetary exchanges will be determined on a case-by-case basis. Please see sliding scale application.
Sponsor a Sister
If you have the privilege, share your resources! Not everyone can make it to Second Saturdays. Women who are not currently able to afford a session apply for sponsorship. Pay for a sister's Reiki treatment at a discounted rate. If you have been sponsored in the past, please consider sponsoring another Sister when you are able!

Second Saturday Sister Share
Free Reiki sessions every Second Saturday for women-identified people who are not able to afford regular priced sessions. It is important to continually seek to provide accessible ways to practice self-care & healing that all women deserve. These sessions are for women who may not have access to certain resources at this point in their lives, but who deserve the opportunity & care that holistic healing can offer. Please be honest and clear about your intentions; be mindful that you may be taking up space for those who may not otherwise be able to gift themselves with this service if you can afford regularly scheduled treatments, or if sliding scale payment may be an option for you.
These sessions will rotate in location, so please be sure to check the date & address. If you know of any women or queer organizations that would like to host Sister Share, please contact me at allisonjoyreiki@gmail.com.

Sister Circle
i am currently seeking other (queer)women of color healers to build with and develop this offering. Help me grow a network of powerful, loving women who can support each other in our passion and dedication to social justice, and learning about and providing holistic care to one another and our communities. It will act as a catalyst to grow and connect our own personal circles, as well as create collective action. Sister Circle will also serve as an open safe space for (queer)women of color to come together once every three months to hold and care for each other by sharing our stories, our songs, our art, our silence, our rage/frustration/tears. As well as a space to offer our healing modalities to each other, and other women.
