~Yoga for New York's Progressive Community

Peace Beautiful Spirits!
i hope you are doing well & that you are eating up the last month of summer, swallowing sweetness and sunshine to keep you warm & grounded as the fall dances towards us...

just wanted to take a moment to invite you to experience a different form of self-care, of healing, and of growth-stretch. my wonderful friend Doreen is offering Forrest Yoga classes, and i encourage you to attend if you are able! she is a compassionate, patient, and experienced teacher, classes are small & comfortable, and it is an affordable way to give yourself some goodness. hope to see you there!

ALL CLASSES DONATION BASED & OPEN TO BEGINNERS

This life seems to offer us the choices of living in a state of either numbness or unsustainable frenzy. Use this yoga to explore other ways of being, to learn how you can revitalize and rejuvenate through the tremendous resources of your whole self working as one. Strengthen, unwind, and to tap into your best self.

The mission of this weekly yoga class is to build the practice of yoga in New York's progressive community, as part of our individual and collective path of healing, empowerment, and liberation. Its vision is a group of practitioners who together will form a powerful dynamic, one that enriches New York's currently mainstream yoga culture. If you are a defender of social justice, if you live for change from the ground up, you are invited to be a creator of reality from this vision.

Come start your yoga practice or deepen an existing one. This is an open-level class-- all are welcome and modifications to poses will be offered for beginners and more advanced practitioners alike. The method we practice is "Forrest Yoga," a unique philosophy and approach to yoga that specifically addresses the physical and emotional stresses and challenges faced by people today. For more information on the Forrest philosophy, please visit: Forrest Yoga

Experience the gifts of being in your own body(a learned skill!) through this incredible practice. It will deepen your connection to the full spectrum of feeling through the pillars of Forrest Yoga: breath, strength, integrity and spirit. Developing this practice also allows you to contribute more to what matters most to you in this world. Let us come together to grow and inspire the health, power, joy and freedom of ourselves, our communities, our world.
