~Reiki for the LGBTQQI community!

happy pride month!

strength & solidarity with the beautiful & powerful LGBT community & all queer people of color who live boldly, survive beautifully, tell and preserve our stories with magic and laughter, brilliantly build ourselves and each other as chosen family with love, compassion, and FIERCE overflowing (work it, y'all).

in celebration, to claim pride all year everyday of the year, and to honor our zee/her/history i will be offering discounted Reiki treatments for the LGBT community for the rest of the year! yup. for the rest of the year. (yay!)

When scheduling a session with me, just mention "QPOC" in the email, and you'll get $25 dollars off your first session (that's over a 30% discount)!!!

in my practice, i have focused on the queer of color LGBT community for many reasons:

- an absence of access to quality health care, especially including holistic services

- an absence of compassion and understanding of LGBTQQI issues & concerns in mainstream medicine, especially trans medical knowledge

- to resist the way our communities are criminalized, to heal from racism/homophobia/heterosexism, and to  replenish and (re)claim our strength

- the daily stress and mental/emotional toll it takes surviving and thriving as of color & queer (and/or low income, different abilitied, immigrant, etc)

- i strongly & passionately believe in serving my communities in anyway i can, and i believe that to do so in the areas of physical/emotional/mental/spiritual health is a powerful and loving act of liberation

i have also found that Reiki is an especially wonderful treatment for all trans-identified folks. it is a respectful & non-invasive process, and those who may be going through transition, or who may not be entirely comfortable with their bodies yet are not asked to take off their clothes. the practitioner can also hold her/his/zee hands a few inches above the clients body if they are sensitive to touch. it is necessary that a client feel as comfortable as possible during their treatment!

in addition, Reiki is an especially loving act for people who are survivors of sexual assault, domestic violence, or violence (i.e. queer bashing). it helps to restore balance, peace for the mind & emotions, assists in clearing away negative toxins/blockages that can build up in the body after violence. Again, it is a gentle, compassionate, and respectful practice, as practicioners do not need to physically touch clients, especially people who are not comfortable with touch or their bodies being handled.

as queer people of color, our ancestry, our stories, the brilliant things we've created, our amazing contributions to this world, the beautiful communities we continue to build are not honored enough...not acknowledged or cared for enough. this is my gift to you, and i offer it in love and solidarity so that we may claim our strength, take part in each other's healing, and encourage one another to shape our most bold and powerful visions of ourselves.

this cannot be combined with any other offer, and does not apply when sliding scale rates are considered.
