Reiki for your Pets

The Reiki healing system is perfect for this as it carries with it respectful acknowledgment of animals’ expansive capabilities. Masters of energetic integration, animals intuitively understand that we all exist on physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual levels simultaneously. With this understanding, they are naturals at accepting Reiki into their lives.”

Reiki for Animals is a form of healing that helps harmonize the mind, body, and soul of your pet. It is a gentle but powerful healer, and can be used as a treatment for relaxation as well as a tool for releasing negative emotions and limitations. It will balance your dog's energy, organs, and glands. Reiki for Animals has proven to strengthen immune systems, relieve pain, clears toxins, and enhances personal awareness while relaxing your pet. Reiki can treat many ailments that may be currently inhibiting your companion, whether noticeable to you or not. It can reduce stress, relieve pain, headaches, stomach upsets, asthma, back problems, sinus/ respiratory problems, canine hip dysplasia, anxiety and more. After your pet's first session, you may see instant results of using Reiki.

  • For animals who are healthy, Reiki helps to maintain their health, enhances relaxation and provides an emotional sense of peace and contentment.
  • For animals who are ill, Reiki is a wonderful healing method as well as a safe complement to Western Medicine, Chinese Medicine, homeopathy, flower essences, and all other forms of healing. For example, Reiki can reduce the side effects of chemotherapy, aide in the swift recovery from surgery, support an acupuncture treatment, and enhance the effects of flower essences, such as rescue remedy.
  • For dying animals, Reiki is a powerful yet gentle way to provide comfort, relief from pain, fear, and anxiety, and to ease the transition to death.

Animal sessions need not be hands-on" treatments. The practitioner always asks permission of the animal first, and allows the animal to determine the course of the treatment. Many animals enjoy hands-on treatments, but for other animals, treatments are much more comfortable from a few feet away, or even from across the room or paddock. Whether given directly hands-on or from across the room, treatments are equally effective. Most importantly, treatments should always be adjusted to fit each animal's preference. Since Reiki can also be sent effectively from a distance, this means it can be used on animals that are skittish or aggressive without distressing them or risking injury to them, their keepers, or the Healer herself. In time, and with regular treatment, even the most aggressive animals may experience Reiki's calming effects. Often the animal will enter a state of deep relaxation or sleep. Reiki by itself or in conjunction with combinations of professional veterinary care, obedience training, and behavioral training can help...

  • reduce aggressive behavior
  • restore range of motion
  • manage and reduce pain
  • support chemotherapy patients
  • ease separation anxiety
  • calm your pet before flying/travel
  • fortify your pet before surgery
  • expedite recovery after surgery
  • rejuvenate working animals
  • center & ground animals for competition

Reiki is ideal for use with animals because it is gentle and noninvasive. It doesn't cause stress, discomfort, or pain, and yet yields powerful results. Animals love Reiki; they seem intuitively to understand its power to heal. All animals, whether shelter rescues, service animals, or in happy homes, can benefit from the healing aspects of Reiki, and will thank you for providing the gift of healing!
